Copyright (DMCA) Policy

Effective 2026-09-11

How copyright holders can report infringement, and how account holders can respond.

1. Overview

Tenebrite respects intellectual-property rights and expects our users to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), and equivalent procedures under other applicable laws.

2. Designated Agent

Notices of alleged copyright infringement should be sent to our designated agent:

DMCA Agent
Tenebrite LLC
10814 Dorchester Rd #1047
Summerville, SC 29485, United States
Email: dmca@tenebrite.com

3. Notice Requirements

To be effective, a takedown notice must include:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it (e.g., URLs).
  4. Your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

Incomplete notices may not be acted upon. Knowing material misrepresentations in a takedown notice may expose you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

4. What We Do

On receipt of a compliant notice we will:

  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material expeditiously.
  • Notify the affected user of the action taken.
  • Track the notice against the user’s account for repeat-infringer purposes (Section 7).

5. Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice including:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material removed and the location at which it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which the address is located (or, if outside the United States, that you consent to the jurisdiction of any judicial district in which Tenebrite may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the complaining party or their agent.

We will forward the counter-notice to the original complainant. Unless they file a court action seeking a restraining order against you within ten (10) business days, we may restore the material.

6. Other Jurisdictions

For copyright matters governed by other regimes (e.g., the EU Directive on Copyright in the Digital Single Market), please send a comparable notice to the address above; we will follow the procedure required by applicable law.

7. Repeat Infringers

In appropriate circumstances, we will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.

8. Trademark Concerns

Trademark complaints should also be sent to dmca@tenebrite.com with the registration details, the basis for your claim, and the location of the allegedly infringing use.
